Wins on the Horizon for LRCFT at Folsom Lake College

This semester, LRCFT at Folsom Lake College is looking forward to making meaningful strides for our faculty community. A key focus is the upcoming AI Summit, which we see as an opportunity to better understand how artificial intelligence is shaping higher education—particularly its impact on workload creep.

Rather than letting new technologies add to already demanding workloads, we’re committed to exploring how AI can be leveraged as a tool to our advantage—streamlining tasks, improving efficiency, and helping faculty focus on what matters most: teaching and supporting students. If we can’t beat the rapid changes AI brings, we can certainly learn how to use it wisely.

We’re also excited about LRCFT board members having a stronger presence at sister colleges’ Faculty Appreciation Weeks, strengthening our connections across the district and celebrating the hard work and dedication of all faculty.

Together, these efforts reflect our goal to not only address challenges but to also transform them into opportunities for innovation and collaboration.
